Two new testing releases of JoomLeague 6.2 are now available. These releases focus on more reliable updates, consistent package information, and new tools for quickly creating a complete testing environment.
What Was Added in Beta 2
JoomLeague 6.2.0 Beta 2 primarily improved the Joomla update integration and version reporting.
- The installed JoomLeague version is now displayed directly in the administrator Quick Icon panel.
- Joomla extension update metadata has been corrected.
- The update path from earlier development releases to the beta series has been verified.
- System Diagnostics now reads the version from the installed package record.
- Author and project metadata have been standardised across the component, modules, and plugins.
What Is New in Beta 3
JoomLeague 6.2.0 Beta 3 introduces a new administrator tool for generating fictional demonstration data.
On an empty JoomLeague installation, administrators can generate a complete dataset using one or more of the 15 bundled sport profiles. The generator creates:
- seasons and competitions,
- projects and stages,
- participants and members,
- programmes and results,
- line-ups and officials,
- events and statistics,
- standings.
Football is selected by default, but any combination of the supported sport profiles can be used.
Beta 3 also adds a protected tool for completely resetting JoomLeague runtime data. This operation is intended exclusively for testing installations and also removes manually created data.
The reset requires:
- the
core.adminpermission, - explicit activation in the JoomLeague configuration,
- a valid Joomla security token,
- the exact confirmation phrase.
After a successful reset, the safety option is automatically disabled. The option is stored in the standard Joomla component configuration, so it also works on shared hosting without access to server environment variables.
Beta 3 additionally fixes Joomla 6.2 database value binding when the reset safety option is automatically disabled.
Download and Update
The package is available from:
It can also be installed through Joomla’s standard extension update system. Testing installations must set the minimum extension stability to Beta or lower.
Important Notice
