The old version of this module had many more options. You had to specify projects—which was tedious, as you had to add one every new season.

You had to select teams—not just your favorite club.

I have a database of 2,000 individuals—players, coaches, and referees.
I created these profiles and then assigned them to teams within projects.
In the new version, I see a “Club” option in the individual’s settings, but assigning them to my team at that level doesn’t seem to do anything.

Hi,

Thank you for the detailed description and the attached screenshots. The problem was caused by the Birthdays module not correctly considering all the available relationships between a person, club, team, and project.

This part has been reworked for the upcoming JoomLeague 6.2.0-beta4 release. The module now recognises:

  • a person assigned directly to a club,
  • a person’s team membership within a project,
  • project roles for players, coaches, and officials.

The filtering options have also been expanded to include project, club, team, person type, and role. Therefore, if Hubert Kusz is assigned to Lechia Gdansk, he should be displayed correctly after selecting that club in the module. It will no longer be necessary to manually add every new project each season.

The fix will be available in JoomLeague 6.2.0-beta4. After the release, please update the complete JoomLeague package and save the Birthdays module configuration again.

Fingers crossed. Adding each subsequent project for a given club in this module was a hassle.
