JoomLeague 6.2.0 Beta 4 is now available. This release focuses on fixes found while testing real migrated data, substantially expanded frontend module configuration, and clearer installation and public project information.
Key fixes
- Fixed inline participant changes in round programme administration, including CSRF token handling and project permission checks.
- Fixed zero score values disappearing from Team Plan and Club Plan views. Results such as
0:0,2:0and0:2are now displayed correctly. - Fixed decimal result formatting while preserving significant zeroes.
- Added safely filtered rich-text output for person biographies and event reports.
- Separated players and staff in event-report line-ups.
- Strengthened participant validation across stages and projects.
Person profiles
Public person profiles can now display date of birth, height, weight and country information. Height and weight have canonical database fields, administration validation and migration support for compatible legacy metadata.
Expanded frontend modules
Beta 4 significantly extends the configuration available in:
- JoomLeague Programme
- JoomLeague Latest Results
- JoomLeague Next Programme Event
- JoomLeague Programme Ticker
- JoomLeague Birthdays
Depending on the module, the new options include sport, season, project, stage, round, club, participant and venue filters; independent past and future ranges; vertical and horizontal layouts; display density; grouping and ordering; participant limits; localized date and time formats; and individual controls for images, results, winners, links and contextual information.
About JoomLeague
A new public About JoomLeague view introduces the project, its capabilities and official resources. Installation details now show the author, installed JoomLeague version and number of available sport profiles. Internal “Powered by JoomLeague” links lead to this view.
Installation experience
The package installation and update report has been redesigned. It now provides system requirement checks, accurate information about the 16 frontend modules and 5 Joomla plugins, recommended next steps and direct access to the dashboard, sport profiles, settings, module management and guided tours. The layout has also been improved for Joomla’s light and dark administration themes.
Important: enable beta updates in Joomla
Joomla uses Stable as the default minimum stability for extension updates. Because Beta 4 is a pre-release, an installation running Beta 3 may not display this update until beta updates are explicitly enabled.
Go to System → Update → Extensions → Options, set Minimum Stability to Beta, save the setting, and then select Check for Updates again.
Installing a beta package manually does not change Joomla’s global minimum-stability setting. Keep the setting at Stable on production websites that are not participating in beta testing.
Existing Beta 3 installations can update through Joomla’s extension updater. New installations can download the complete package from:
Download JoomLeague 6.2.0 Beta 4
You can explore the public frontend at demo.joomleague.eu and report any remaining issues in the appropriate support category.
JoomLeague 6.2 remains a beta release intended for evaluation and testing. Back up your website and database before updating an existing installation.
